Winter fawn (Flammulina velutipes)

Flammulina velutipes (winterflammulina ), also known as Enoki, is a fungus commonly found in Poland, growing mainly on the wood of deciduous trees, and less frequently on spruce. It is an edible mushroom – its caps are used for consumption.

Enoki mushrooms have been used in cooking and cultivated in Japan, Korea and China for hundreds of years. In Asia, their medicinal qualities have also been recognized, including them in the herbaria of traditional Chinese medicine as ingredients to strengthen the immune system and cure numerous diseases.
