Wheat germ oil is characterized by its rich fatty acid profile. Its composition is dominated by oleic acid (C18:1 – 35–65%) and saturated acids, such as palmitic and stearic, present in balanced proportions. One of the most distinctive components of this oil is its naturally high content of vitamin E (tocopherols), which is responsible for its potent antioxidant properties. Tocopherols protect lipids from oxidation and shield cells from oxidative stress. The presence of vitamins A, D, and B-group vitamins further enhances its biological value.
